Special Activities of each Partner in WP 9

LP: MUC

Lead Partner: city of Munich (D) – Department of Health and Environment

  • MUC is responsible for coordination of this WP and its smooth implementation.
  • MUC will contribute to develop the implementation strategies on the basis of Work Package 3 and Work Package 4.
  • MUC will test the strategies to implement the developed soil evaluation procedure in everyday practice in Munich on the level of urban and rural planning, preventive environmental protection, nature protection.
  • MUC will control the success of the implementation strategies and contribute to further recommendations for improved implementation.
  • MUC will compile a catalogue providing measures and strategies.

Project partner: city of Linz (A)

  • Contribution to the development of strategies for the implementation of the evaluation tool, bringing in the aspects and special experiences of the city of Linz or the experiences of other possibly participating commune(s) in the city region.
  • The testing of the implementation strategies will be carried out by daily work on the level of development planning, zoning plans, building schemes, environmental protection and nature preservation activities, etc.
  • Contribution to the control and the analysis of the results of the implementation strategies as well as to the working out of further recommendations.

Project partner: city of Reutlingen (D)

  • Testing of the implementation strategies procedure in everyday practice on the level of town planning, preventive environmental protection, nature protection in the area of Reutlingen
  • Control of Success of implementing appropriate strategies and further recommendations, supporting the partners in compiling the criteria catalogue.

Project partner: University of Hohenheim (D)

  • Development of implementation strategies.
  • Advising the partner communes IGUI and UNITO in the development of an technique to evaluate the strategies for the implementation of soil protection in planning procedures.

EU-P7: UNITO

Project partner: University of Torino (I)

  • UNITO will take part into the implementation in spatial and urban planning of the transnational technique to evaluate the characteristics and functions of urban soils. It will contribute to the preparation of an implementation strategy.

NM-P1: MARIBOR

Project partner: municipality of Maribor (SLO)

  • Testing of the implementation strategies procedure in everyday practice on the level of town planning, preventive environmental protection, nature protection.
  • Success control of implementation strategies and further recommendations.

NM-P2: ZRH

Project partner: city of Zurich (CH)

  • Based on the results of WP 3 and 4 ZRH will elaborate strategies for the implementation of the soil evaluation technique in planning procedures at municipal or higher level of the participating countries.
  • ZRH will develop proposals an application strategies for spatial planning at the level of building regulations and zonal planning.
  • ZRH will propose a catalogue of measures for municipalities
  • ZRH will develop strategies for the implementation of soil protection in the City of Zurich and the City of Chur.
  • ZRH will develop strategies for the implementation of soil protection in the range of allotment gardens.
  • ZRH will implement soil protection strategies in partner cities of the Switzerland.
